These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Secret Stars ("Secret Stars", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Secret Stars website, applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. The Service is intended for adult audiences only. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that your use does not violate any law applicable to you.
Secret Stars is an entertainment platform that allows you to interact with fictional, AI-generated characters through a simulated social and messaging experience. Every character, profile, image, voice, and message produced by the Service is generated or assembled by artificial intelligence. Characters are not real people, are not sentient, and no interaction with the Service constitutes contact, advice, or a relationship with a real human.
We may add, remove, change, or discontinue any feature, character, or part of the Service at any time and without notice. Availability may vary by region and device.
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at hello@secretstars.chat if you suspect unauthorized access. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate in response to suspected violations, including removing content, restricting features, suspending or terminating accounts, and cooperating with law enforcement.
Content generated by the Service — including text, images, and other media — is produced by machine-learning systems and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, offensive, or misleading. AI output is not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, psychological, or otherwise) and must not be relied upon as such. You are solely responsible for how you use or act upon any AI-generated content. We make no representation that AI output is accurate, safe, or fit for any particular purpose.
"User Content" means anything you submit to the Service, including profile information, messages you send to characters, preferences, and feedback. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Secret Stars a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and create derivative works of your User Content solely for the purposes of operating, securing, improving, and providing the Service to you, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. We may review, moderate, or remove any User Content at our discretion but are under no obligation to do so.
The Service, including its software, design, branding, characters, and all content we provide, is owned by Secret Stars or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service or any Secret Stars intellectual property to you.
Parts of the Service may be offered for a fee, as one-time purchases, recurring subscriptions, or consumable virtual items. Pricing, availability, and the features included in any paid offering are described at the point of purchase and may change at any time. By completing a purchase you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method for the amounts shown, plus applicable taxes.
Recurring plans renew automatically for the period shown at checkout until canceled. Cancellation terms, including when a cancellation takes effect, are as described at the point of purchase or in your account.
Virtual items, credits, and paid features have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are personal to your account. Except where required by law, all purchases are final and non-refundable.
Purchases made through a third-party platform (such as an app store) are also governed by that platform's terms, including its refund and billing rules.
From time to time we may offer promotions, rewards, bonuses, or referral incentives. Any such offer is provided at our discretion, may be limited in quantity or duration, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time. Offers are void where prohibited and are subject to any additional terms published with the offer.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment processors, analytics, and authentication providers. Your use of those services through Secret Stars is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use them for any purpose without obligation to you.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users, third parties, or the Service. Any provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SAFE, OR MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECRET STARS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Secret Stars and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when these Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory local law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms we publish, are the entire agreement between you and Secret Stars regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a corporate transaction.
